BLANK CANVAS SURF & SNOW BOARDS
Thanks to international shaper Chops Lascelles, The guys @ Laminations Fine Fininshings and the ever loyal Blue @ Porthtowan, Lamorna has been able to realize a dream of using the surboard as her canvas.
Shaper of Damien Hirsts famous "Spin Boards" legend Chops Lascelles inspired and encouraged Lamorna to experiment with blanks and told her to "Go for it Gal"!!
After months of experimenting with the blanks and shapes Lamorna carefully transferred her talents on to a range of 6 non surfable boards under Chops Lascelles "Beach Beat" surf label.
The Boardroom @ Blue proudly hosted the launch and show case of inspiring surf art on friday 9th june 06.The exhibition was a sell out show and so well received Lamorna then went on to design and paint a second range of boards launched in June 2007.
After months of preparation and a year researching the "greenest" way to develope her painting and the making of the blanks with Laminations, Lamorna launched this years range of 14 boards under the title Blank Canvas II, In aid of The Marine Conservation Society at the Boardroom @ Blue Porthtowan on friday 15th June.
The event was a huge success with also giving thanks to this years sponsors Blue, Beach Beat, Pure blue Water, Ocean Publishing, Red Stripe and The Beer Seller.
Lamorna continues to raise money for MCS with a permanant show case of boards and prints on canvas at the Boardroom at Blue. Open daily from 10.30am

LAMORNA HAS TAKEN 18 MONTHS MATERNITY LEAVE AND AIMS TO GET BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD IN 2012.
