Ribbons/Sophie/Tania/Dinny etc come from an on-going series of paintings which Lamorna Penrose has directed models to dress undress and dance-thus creating an artificial yet provocatively intimate environment in which to record
her subjects.
Lamornas fashion paintings and illustrations are done purely for pleasure as this is where her true passion lies. Her intensely coloured figurative paintings have both a very direct and sketchy feel.

LAMORNA HAS TAKEN 18 MONTHS MATERNITY LEAVE AND AIMS TO GET TO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD IN 2012.
